W David Robinson Ed.D Administrator APD Service Area 1 (Escambia Santa Rosa Walton and Okaloosa Counties) Dr. Robinson authorized and directed his staff to mail our invitation to 1,000 parents on APD's Waiting List to get together. Left Behind in Florida was created by this group of parents on APD's Waiting List. Parents who have a child with a developmental disability who can use our forum, web site and organization appreciate Dr. Robinson's actions which went beyond the call of duty.

Senators Clay Ford, Don Gaetz and Representative Greg Evers, who independently discussed the need to consider the elimination of APD's Waiting List at the Santa Rosa County state Legislative Delegation Hearing on December 18, 2008, at they meeting they stated that the elimination of APD's Waiting List would be a high priority for them.

Phillip Pearson Chairperson for the Family Care Council 12 Palm Cost area. Mr. Pearson is the only parent whose child is on APD's Waiting List and his Council was the first to send out information about Left Behind in Florida to his 1,700 mailing lists. Left Behind in Florida no has members all across Florida.

Sherri Vardas Co-Chairperson for the Family Care Council Area, 4 Jacksonville area. Ms Vardas has offered to send out our information to her membership and to allow us to do a Public Service Announcement PSA featuring families on APD's Waiting List via Left Behind in Florida.
